Asociaciones entre las prácticas de crianza y los niveles de estrés, ansiedad, depresión y estrés relacionados con las minorías en adolescentes LGBT+

Resumen

La literatura sugiere que el estrés por pertenecer a una minoría contribuye a la internalización de síntomas en adolescentes LGBT+, pero aún no se comprende del todo cómo las prácticas de crianza específicas impactan la salud mental de este grupo. Este estudio analizó las asociaciones entre las prácticas de crianza, el estrés por pertenecer a una minoría e indicadores de ansiedad, depresión y estrés en 127 adolescentes LGBT+ brasileños. Se trata de un estudio cuantitativo, transversal y correlacional. Se aplicaron un cuestionario sociodemográfico, el IEMSA, el DASS-21 y la Escala de Prácticas de Crianza. Los datos se analizaron con SPSS 27 mediante la correlación de Spearman (p≤0,05). Las prácticas de crianza que fomentaban el apoyo emocional y la autonomía se correlacionaron negativamente con el estrés por pertenecer a una minoría, lo que sugiere un efecto protector. El control punitivo y la intrusividad se correlacionaron positivamente con los síntomas de ansiedad, depresión y estrés, lo que indica un efecto perjudicial. Estos hallazgos contribuyen a la evidencia de que la crianza puede actuar como un factor tanto de riesgo como de protección para la salud mental de los adolescentes LGBT+.
